MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Idris Waziri Othman is a businessman who made most of his successes in the construction industry spanning a period from 1983 to date. Within this period of time he founded so many companies including System Properties Development Consortium ltd, where he is the Group Managing Director. Aside construction industry, Mallam Idris has interests in so many other businesses such as providing IT solutions (Pure Technical Services Ltd), Markets Development, Agriculture and so on.
Mallam Idris is a philanthropist, a lover of the nature, has traveled wide especially to see and appreciate the beauty of the animal kingdom.

Hadiza Isma El-Rufai is the Founder/CEO as well as member of Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation Board of Trustees. She holds a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Architecture and Business Administration all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. She also holds an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University, Bath, UK.

Her debut novel, Life After Death will be published in 2017 by Ouida Press, and she is currently working on her second novel The Orphan Boy. Her poem, Spirit Child, was shortlisted for the Lightship International Poetry Prize 2013, and subsequently published in the Lightship Publishing Ltd. Anthology 3.

Hadiza lives in Kaduna, Nigeria and is married to Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, with Children

Muhammed Bello El-Rufai was born on January 11, 1988. He holds an IB Diploma from the prestigious United College of the Atlantic in Wales. He acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College in 2011, majoring in Political Science, with a concentration on International Relations and Religious Studies. In 2014, he obtained a Master’s of Science degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. He is a UWC Scholar and is currently an Accounts Manager in Huawei Nigeria. He is currently a Board Member of Maia Innovative Services as well as YASMIN El-Rufai Foundation.

 

Suleiman Usman Yusuf is the piorneer Coordinator of Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation and was also responsible for the setting-up of the Foundation and its mangament.

He has several years of experience on programs & projects design and managment, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), office administration and management and Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE). He holds a Master’s degree on conflict, peace and strategic studies (MCPSS) and Bachelor’s (B.Sc) of sociology.

Suleiman was a part of Nigeria’s pioneering Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Programme under the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) where he contributed in the design and implementation of several community engagement and building resilience projects, as a program officer and later the Head of Admin and logistics. He has also worked with the Management Strategies for Africa (MSA-Nigeria) as a senior monitoring and evaluation (M&E) assistant. He was once an administrator with the ANS Consulting Limited, Abuja. He has attended several courses and conferences across countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is a member of Abuja literary society and a columnist (KAKAKI Echoes) with the World Entourage Magazine.

Suleiman is a volunteer to several community based organisations as well as the Federal Road Safety Corps (Special Marshal). In his leasure time, he enjoys reading autobiographies and history books.
